Celia Grummitt

Celia has been using horses to improve human health for more than twenty years. She first became aware of the therapeutic impact and importance of involving horses whilst helping others back to health in the 1980s.

Since that time Celia has gained a considerable understanding of the field and in 2003 developed an Outdoor Therapy Centre in Wiltshire alongside her mainstream work in NHS General Practice.

As a doctor Celia knows that medicine doesn't hold all the answers and is pleased to use the full range of outdoor therapy in her practice. She has taught many, lectured widely and now recognise the need to establish a book to support these therapies into the mainstream so they are     more available throughout the UK. Celia's dream is that outdoor therapy, and horse based therapy in particular, is more available to people as the understanding of this work is spread.
