Catherine Brown

Catherine Brown grew up in a Glasgow tenement and began her catering career in a Clydeside dockers’ canteen. After training at Glasgow’s Dough School and the Scottish Hotel School, she became a chef, food writer, restaurant critic, lecturer and author of several books on Scotland’s food culture. She was a presenter and scriptwriter on STV’s Scotland’s Larder, and has won several Glenfiddich food-writing awards as well as the Guild of Food Writer’s Food Journalist of the Year award.
